Road, gravel and e-bike itineraries between lakes, hills and historic towns.

Why experience cycling in Italy

Bike tours in Italy turn the distance between towns into part of the journey. Lakeside roads at Garda, vineyard tracks in Chianti and rolling country lanes reveal the landscape at a pace that leaves room for stops along the way.

Our cycling tours use e-bikes to make varied terrain accessible to a mixed group, and connect riding days with cultural visits, local food and time in the places reached by the route.

A support van, luggage transfers between hotels and local knowledge remove the logistical work, leaving each day centred on the ride and its destination. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to cycle in Italy.

How we experience cycling

  • Cycling route above the blue water of Lake Garda

    Lake Garda by e-bike

Ride beside the lake and above its cliffs, linking the northern shore with towns, vineyards and panoramic routes such as the Ponale.

  • Cyclist riding through a Tuscan hill town above the Val d'Orcia

    Tuscany at a slower pace

Country roads between Siena, Montepulciano and the Tuscan hills combine cycling with the region's towns and food traditions.

  • Riva del Garda between the lake and mountains

    More than the ride

Bike days sit within a complete Italian journey, with local guides, planned stops and time to understand the places along the route.

Cycling in Italy: frequently asked questions

E-bike or road bike: which should I choose?
Most of our guests choose the e-bike, and all our current programmes use one. It levels out the difference within a mixed group and turns the hills of Chianti or the climbs above Lake Garda into a comfortable day.
Is there a support vehicle?
Yes. A van follows every riding day, carries luggage between hotels and can take riders and bikes on board at any point of the route.
How far do we ride each day?
Between 30 and 50 km, with stops for visits and tastings. Riding days alternate with days in the towns along the route, so the week is not only saddle time.
When is the best season for cycling in Italy?
April to June and September to October. Temperatures stay mild, the light is long in the late afternoon and the roads are quieter than in high summer.
